Welcome to Spendington — a personal finance management app that empowers you to track, control, and achieve your financial goals. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our mobile, desktop, and web applications (“Service”), operated by Spendington (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using our Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Spendington.
1. Acceptance of Terms & Updates
By accessing or using Spendington, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. We may modify these Terms periodically. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date and notify users through in-app announcements or email. Continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Eligibility & Account Responsibility
To use Spendington, you must be at least 13 years old or the minimum legal age in your country to enter into a binding agreement. You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during account registration and keep your credentials confidential. You are solely responsible for all activity under your account.
3. Subscriptions & Billing
Spendington offers both free and premium (paid) plans:
Trial Period: New users may access premium features for a limited trial period, after which subscription fees apply.
Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) unless canceled.
Payment Methods: We support Apple Pay, Google Pay, Paystack, and web-based card payments.
Renewal & Cancellation: Plans auto-renew unless canceled before the renewal date. Cancel via your app store or settings.
Refund Policy: We do not provide refunds except as required by law. Contact us at spendington1@gmail.com with questions.
4. User Conduct & Prohibited Uses
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
Access or use others’ accounts without permission
Introduce malware, exploit bugs, or engage in hacking
Use the platform for spamming, scraping, or illegal financial activities
Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation We may suspend or terminate your account for violations, with or without notice.
5. Data Collection & Privacy
We care about your privacy. Our Privacy Policy describes in detail:
What data we collect (e.g., name, email, expense data, payment metadata)
How we use it (e.g., to operate the app, improve features, personalize insights)
How data is stored (secured via Firebase, with encryption)
Your rights under GDPR and CCPA (including access, correction, deletion)

6. Third‑Party Integrations
Spendington may integrate with banking or payment data aggregators such as Plaid and TrueLayer (subject to regional availability). By linking your accounts, you authorize us to access relevant data. We disclaim responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of third-party data.
7. Intellectual Property
All content and technology in Spendington — including code, designs, logos, and trademarks — are the intellectual property of Spendington. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or distribute the app. User-generated content (e.g., notes, attachments) remains yours, but you grant us a license to display and store it to provide the Service.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Spendington is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or accuracy of insights. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spendington shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability under these Terms is capped at the amount you paid (if any) in the last 12 months.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Spendington and its team from any claims, damages, obligations, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to first try to resolve disputes with us informally. If that fails, disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Konya, Türkiye. In certain cases, we may opt for binding arbitration.
11. Termination & Data Portability
We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate our Terms or pose a security risk. Upon termination:
Your data will be retained per our Data Retention Policy unless you request deletion.
You may export your transaction history and financial data through in-app tools.
